Moving around the application.
You can work with the application using mouse, but also keyboard. All functions have assigned
shortcut keys. To view the shortcuts, press the ALT button - notice that some letters are
underlined. The underlined letters point the shortcut key - to use selected function press and hold
the alt key, and then press the shortcut key. For example, on the main screen, pressing ALT+a
opens New Customer Window, as if you pressed the Add button with mouse.
Transactions
All operations that result in data modification are "embraced" in transactions. You can have
multiple operations within one transaction. If transaction is canceled (rolled back), modifications
are lost. If transaction is approved (committed), your modifications are persisted.
Within the application the following strategy is adopted: pressing the Cancel button on a window
cancels, pressing the OK button accepts all the operations that were made since the window was
opened and finally pressing Close button only closes the window, without any data related action.
For example, when you view the Job list, then add new job, then close the list by pressing cancel,
your newly added job will not be preserved.
